1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using OntarioLandlord ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
OntarioLandlord is an automation and documentation tool designed to help Ontario landlords manage rental properties, generate LTB-compliant notices, track rent payments, and organize evidence for hearings.
OntarioLandlord is not a law firm, paralegal service, or legal representative. The Service provides tools and templates but does not provide legal advice. For legal advice specific to your situation, consult a qualified legal professional licensed in Ontario.
3. User Accounts
To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Be responsible for all activities under your account
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Impersonate others or provide false information
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Use automated means to access the Service without permission
5. Payment and Subscriptions
Some features require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to pay the applicable fees. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time, and your access will continue until the end of your billing period.
6. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, features, and content, is owned by OntarioLandlord and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without permission.
7. User Content
You retain ownership of any content you upload to the Service. By uploading content, you grant us a license to store and process that content to provide the Service to you.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OntarioLandlord shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that notices generated will be accepted by the LTB or that using the Service will result in favorable outcomes.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
10. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
